Rattle snake and feeding the cows

Last weekend, we all went to Miles for lunch at Grandma E's, then we went to Winters to help daddy feed the cows. On the way to the Gorman place (in Coleman County), we ran over a rattle snake that was going across the road. He wasn't dead so Josh got out and killed him. Riley had to cover her eyes for part of it, but she thought the rattlers that daddy cut off were pretty cool to play with.

Then we went over to Silver Valley (also in Coleman County) to put out hay for those cows. Riley was such a good helper!

2010 San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo

Riley absolutely LOVES the rodeo. This was the first time for her to go to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, and it was no surprise that she enjoyed it. We would ask her what she was going to see at the rodeo and she would say, "cowboys." Not sure her dad liked that answer so much, but it sure was cute when she would say it.
Riley is playing on a hay bale at the front of the coliseum.

Riley with Nana and Papa. I am not sure if you can see it, but she is chewing gum. This was the first time she had ever chewed gum, and she did really well.

And we had to go ride the motorcycles on the midway since we had some tickets left. Riley was smiling from ear to ear the whole time!!!!

Nana and Papa bought Riley her first rope. Riley was roping Papa in the parking lot. Look at her pulling back on it! Way to go girl!

Truett's 2nd birthday

Truett turned 2 on February 5th, 2010. As you can tell, it was a John Deere birthday party. We all wore our John Deere shirts and had lots of fun!

It actually snowed two or three times this year. Here is Riley playing in the snow on one of the snow days that we got to stay home from school.

Pelzel Christmas

The Pelzel Christmas and the Lacy Christmas was at my parents house this year. I guess I was tired of Christmas by the time the Lacy Christmas rolled around because I didn't take any pictures. Here are some pics of the Pelzel Christmas...
Davis, Riley, and Caleb eating at the kids table.

All the great-grandkids before Santa came.

Riley actually liked Santa this year. She sat in his lap, although in this picture it looks like she is trying to get away. I guess I was too slow taking the picture. Santa was the highlight of the evening for the kids!

Santa sure was a good sport!

Christmas morning

Santa came to our house on Christmas Eve night. Riley woke up on Christmas morning with presents under the tree and in her stalking. She thought it was pretty cool since she understands how this all works this year. Riley got a couple of John Deere sweatshirts so she can work with Daddy and Papa like a farm girl.

She also got a pink scooter...she rode it around the house for quite a while that morning. Don't you just love that wild hair straight out of bed!

Riley and Daddy put together the John Deere puzzle that Santa brought.

It actually snowed here on Christmas Eve...quite a bit. We enjoyed a white Christmas! Here is Riley standing outside in the snow right before church on Christmas day.

Christmas at the Grohman's

We managed to get all the grandkids and Nana and Papa to take a picture before all the Christmas madness started. We were at their house on Christmas day.

One of Riley's favorite presents is the pair of twinkle toe boots. Nana sure is good at picking out presents for her. She loves these boots, and I never would have thought about buying those. Way to go Nana!

Presents galore!

Riley is giving daddy a "shot" with a pistol grip cow syringe that he got for Christmas. I think everyone got a "shot" by the end of the day. I guess daddy's toys are fun for kids too! Don't worry, we didn't have a needle on it!
